We are pleased to invite members to join us on our annual trip London this year, and we should like to
thank members of the Friends who have backed this event in the past - as it is your support that allows us to
continue to hold it each year.
We shall set down on the Brompton Road at the Victoria & Albert Museum. We feel this is a central
location and the ideal place to enjoy some time in a gallery or museum hereabouts. Over this Christmas period
we can also look forward to the annual visit to Harrods, Fortnum & Mason, Harvey Nichols and the like.
All well known shops, where we can experience the seasonal displays put on by them, at this time of year.
On our return we will be collected near The Rembrandt Hotel opposite the V & A at 5.00pm when we
shall depart for Cardiff.
V & A Museum - There is a variety of exhibitions and attractive cafés including some free hour-long tours
available at the museum.
British Museum - The BP exhibition: Scythian warriors of ancient Siberia. Organised with the State
Hermitage Museum, St Petersburg, Russia, where some of us visited with The Contemporary Art Society for
Wales (CASW) this September. *There is a charge for this exhibition.
Natural History Museum - Whales: Beneath the surface. Major new exhibition. *charge for this exhibition.
The programme for the day is as follows; 8.00 am. Depart Wild Gardens Road, Roath Park.
8.15 am. Depart National Museum steps. 12.00

Arrive V&A (approx).
5.00 pm Depart for Cardiff.
The total charge for the day which includes the coach & driver's
